FINE 1915 BRITISH MILITARY RESISTANCE BOX BY ROBERT W. PAUL
Add-1081. English, dated 1915, and signed on the top "Robt. W. Paul, London. N., No. 3163, 1915." Made of dovetailed mahogany, 9 1/8" x 4 3/4" x 4" tall overall, with heavy phenolic top and heavy lacquered brass fittings. The apparatus is complete with all 18 plug fittings. Probably designed for use in testing communications equipment (telephone/telegraph lines) in the field). Also included is the original heavy wood carrying case. This very attractive British military resistance box is in very good overall condition, with some streaking to the lacquer finish. The outer case is worn externally, but still in good usable condition and serves to protect the resistance box inside. An opportunity to obtain an usual military resistance box for your electrical or WWI British military artifact collection.
