A collection of 30 mineral thin section microscope slides in a cloth covered slide case, including limestone, chalcedonic limestone, cannel or parrot coal, bituminous shale, granite - Aberdeen, granite - Peterhead, granite - Dalbeattie, quartz-felsite - Peterhead, quartz-felsite - Neave Island, quartz-felsite - Tinto Hill, quartz-felsite - Drummadoon, pitchstone, spherulitic pitchstone, porphyrite, diabase - Corstorphise Hill, diabase - Salisbury Crags, diabase - Chaighead Quarry, basalt - Shore, basalt - Lion's Haunch, pikrite, felsite-tuff, basalt-tuff, greywacke, grit, micaceous quartzite, mica-schist, hornblende-schist, chlorite-slate, and serpentine. Also included is the original leaflet describing each of the sections. The slides, descriptive leaflet, and original slide case are all in very good overall condition.
