SM-5002. English, 4th quarter 18th century, unsigned. Made of polished brass and standing 5 1/2" tall (min), extending to 7 1/2" (max), when the column is screwed into the fitting in the top the original 5" x 4 3/8" x 1 1/2" black fishskin covered, green baize lined case. The case contains 12 individual pieces: brass column, adjustable column extension, adjustable eyepiece holder, brass stage, glass stage disk, ivory & cork stage disk, stage forceps, simple lens, 2 lieberkuhn simple lenses, substage mirror, and brass tweezers. The microscope and its fishskin case are in very good overall condition.
