UK-185. English, early 1st quarter 19th century, unsigned. Made of polished lacquered brass and standing 6 3/4" high overall on its folding hinge in the case. The original complement of accessories in the case is extensive and complete. This attractive small case-mounted Cary-type microscope and its original accessories are all in very good overall condition, with much of the original lacquer finish (somewhat streaked on the body tube). The original fitted mahogany case is also in very good overall condition (the top is somewhat warped).
