01-016. Austrian, 2nd quarter 20th century, signed "REICHERT, AUSTRIA" and serial numbered 79018.
Made of black lacquered brass with nickel plated fittings and standing 11 1/2" high (min),

The 4 1/2" diameter rotating circular stage is mounted on a rack & pinion attached to the base of
the limb; the swing-away substage carrying the polarizer, iris diaphragm, and condensing lenses is
adjustable by diagonal rack & pinion; and the 1 1/2" diameter 2-sided mirror is mounted on a
swinging arm. The analyzer is mounted in a sliding prism holder and the body tube has a slot for
the focussable Bertrand lens. The original accessories include an incident light apparatus, 3
eyepieces, 6 objective lenses, and an auxillary stage disk. The microscope is in very good
overall condition, showing wear to some of the nickel plating, in its original 8 5/8" x 10 1/2" x
14" fitted mahogany microscope case.
