18th CENTURY SINGLE-DRAW TELESCOPE WITH SHAGREEN-COVERED BODY
02-003. English, 4th quarter 18th century, unsigned. Made of shagreen covered pasteboard, 1 1/4" diameter x 3 1/4" long (closed) and extending to 4 3/4", with lacquered brass lens holders and dust sliders, 3/8" diameter eyepiece, and 5/8" diameter objective lens. This attractive early single-draw telescope is in very good overall condition. Also included is a old pasteboard slipcase.
