1 1/2" X 25" LACQUERED BRASS & IVORY 6-DRAW TELESCOPE
02-008. English, 2nd quarter 19th century, unsigned. Fine ivory barrel, 1 5/8" diameter, with lacquered brass fittings, sliding sunshade, lens cap, and 6 draw tubes - 6 1/2" long (closed), extending to 25". Doublet 1 1/2" objective and 4-element eyepiece yield erect images. This attractive telescope is in fine overall condition, with virtally all of its original lacquer finish.
