2 1/8" EASTERN EUROPEAN UNIVERSAL EQUINOCTIAL RING DIAL
04-002. Eastern European, dated 1729, and stamped on the meridian ring "Rudich, 1729, Brody." Made of polished brass, the meridian ring is 2 1/8" diameter, the equinoctial ring is 1 11/16" diameter, and the bridge is 1 1/8" x 1/2". The meridian ring is also stamped with the names and latitues of 3 cities - "Buda, 48," "Belgrade, 44," and "Essek, 46." This unusually small universal equinoctial ring dial is in very good overall condition, missing its suspension ring and bracket.
