American, 1st quarter 20th century, with brass trade label on the top stamped "U.S. ENGINEERS STANDARD 30-CAP EXPLODER, to operate. -- pull handle up full and push down with great force, MANUFACTURERS FIDELITY ELECTRIC COMPANY, LANCASTER, PA. U.S.A." This blasting machine has a 6 1/2" x 8" x 11 5/8" tall oak case made of 5/8" thick boards, with the top, bottom & sides dovetailed together and the front & back screwed on. The push-down handle is mounted on the top along with the two electrical connecting screws. This small push-down blasting machine is in very good display condition and it does still generate an electrical output.
