06-048. English, 1st quarter 20th century, stamped on the silvered dial face "Made in England." Made of polished brass, the anemometer is 4 1/4" diameter x 1 5/8" deep, with 8 aluminum vanes and a two dials reading to 1000 feet. A lever at the top of the housing engages the dial mechanism. The instrument is in very good overall condition. The original 5" x 5 3/8" x 2 2/4" fitted mahogany case is also in very good overall condition.
