S07-008. French, 4th quarter 19th century, signed "VALLETTE Pharen, de lre. Classe, ANNONAY (ARDECHE)" on all of the glass reagent bottles. Cloth covered, felt lined wood case, 12 1/2" long x 6" wide x 3 3/4" high, contains 29 separate items Ñ including blowpipe, agate mortar & pestle, anvil, hammer, magnet, candle holder, file, evaporating dish (broken), and 12 glass bottles with reagents. The kit and its contents are in good overall condition, except for some damage to the bottom of the case due to leakage of one of the bottles. While English and German blowpipe kits are relatively common, French kits are quite scarce.
