S07-012. English, 3rd quarter 19th century, stamped "S.W. SILVER & Co, LONDON, Explorers Test Case" into the leather top of the case. The leather covered fitted mahogany case is 9 7/8" x 6 1/4" x 1 3/4" deep. The kit includes the original blowpipe, watch glasses & holder, hammer & anvil, 6 reagent bottles, hand scale & weights, and several pieces of glass tubing. Inside the lid is the original trade label. The case and its contents show much wear, but are still in good overall condition.
