09-042. American, dated 1852, and printed on the bottom of the title page "SOLD ONLY BY SUBSCRIPTION, JOHN E. FULLER, Proprietor." Fuller's Computing Telegraph consists of an 11" x 11" x 1/4" thick leather edged cardboard square, engraved by George G. Smith; on one side of the board is "Fuller's Time Telegraph;" on the other side is "Palmer's Computing Scale." On each side there is an engraved circular center piece that can be rotated against its outer circle to perform calculations. The Fuller's Computing Telegraph is laid in a blind stamped, gilt-lettered cloth case with 22 pages of instruction and a very large chart "delineated and arranged by W(illiam) Nicholson," all in very good overall condition, showing minor wear and scuff marks from use. Note: it is unusual to find the cloth case & instructions with the calculating piece, and even more unusual to find both in such good overall condition.
