VERY LARGE INDUCTION COIL (4"-6" SPARK)
10-019. English, 2nd quarter 20th century, unsigned, but probably sold by either Griffin & George or Philip Harris. The 6" diameter x 11 1/8" long induction coil is mounted between phenolic end pieces on a 25" x 12 1/2" x 3" polished mahogany base. Two stand-off phenolic insulators are mounted in front of the coil to hold the spark gap electrodes; the vibrator, reversing switch, and battery connectors are all mounted at one end of the coil. This very large induction coil is in very good working condition and will produce a 4"-6" spark with a 10 volt DC input.
