7-PIECE SET OF IMPERIAL STANDARD WEIGHTS by W. & T. AVERY
12-003. English, late 4th quarter 19th century, each stamped inside with an indistinct diamond-shaped trademark for W. & T. Avery and "IMPERIAL STANDARD." A 6-piece set of nested brass weights for 2 lb., 1 lb., 1/2 lb., 4 oz., 2 oz., 1 oz.., and 1/2 oz. The largest weight is 3 5/8" diameter x 11/4" tall; the smallest weight is 7/8" diameter x 1/4" tall. All 7 weights are in very good overall condition, with various official "VR", "GR" and "ER" stamps on their bases.
