S14-001. English, 1st quarter 20th century, unsigned. Made of gold painted brass, 1 15/16" diameter x 7/8" thick, with a beveled glass face, a circumferential ring which rotates the interior altitude scale, marked 0 to 8,000 feet, and an arc shaped thermometer in the center, marked 30 to 110 (degrees). This fine pocket barometer is in very good working condition, but has not been calibrated. The original 2 3/8" diameter x 1 1/4" thick leather covered wood case is worn, but is still completely serviceable.
