The 6 1/8" x 5 1/8" x 1 1/4" plush-lined leather covered case contains 18 individual pieces, including: 9 ivory handled needles & knives, 3 silver lachrymal probes, forceps, 2 iris forceps, 2 scissors, and a spring-action eye specula; there is room in the case for 2 additional ivory handled instruments and 2 lidded compartments for very small items. The instruments are all in very good overall condition; the back leather hinge on the case is almost detached, but the case is still in good useable condition.
