LARGE TURNED IVORY KALEIDOSCOPE
16-002. English, mid 19th century, unsigned. Made of 6 pieces of turned and threaded ivory, 91/8" long x 2" diameter. The object case contains an assortment of brightly colored glass pieces & one long oil-filled ampule, the eyepiece contains a low power lens, and the mirrors are set for 6-fold symmetry. This beautiful ivory kaleidoscope is in very fine overall condition.
