SMALL TURNED IVORY KALEIDOSCOPE IN FITTED LEATHER COVERED CASE
16-003. English, mid 19th century, unsigned. Made of 3 pieces of turned and threaded ivory, 5 3/4" long x 1" diameter. The object case contains an assortment of brightly colored glass pieces, the eyepiece contains a low power lens, and the mirrors are set for 8-fold symmetry. This beautiful ivory kaleidoscope is in very fine overall condition. The original plush lined, curved top, leather covered case, 6 1/8" x 1 5/8"x 1 1/2", is also in very fine overall condition.
