E. LEMAIRE

16-021. (Photo to be added later) French, after 1822, signed on the eyepiece "Lemiere Palais Royal Galerie des Bois No229 au Palais." Made of polished lacquered brass, 6 5/8" long overall x 1 1/2" diameter, with a simple eyepiece on one end and a rotating objective case on the other end. The object case is filled with the usual pieces of colored glass; the original eyepiece lens is present in its original holder; and the mirror assembly inside appears to be all original and untampered with. The kaleidoscope shows minor wear externally and is still in very good working condition.
