19-005. America, 3rd quarter 19th century, with an ivory trade label on top for "CUSHING & CO., BOSTON." The 6" square x 1/16" thick sundial plate is made of bronze, with fixed 45 degree latitude gnomon, and is nailed onto a 6 5/8" square x 1 1/4" thick oak base, with 4 ivory button feet. This attractive sundial is in very good overall condition, with original surface patina.
