19-022. American, early 1st quarter 20th century, stamped in the top "STEREO HAWK-EYE Self-Transposing Printing Frame, Manufactured by BLAIR CAMERA CO., Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A." Made of dark stained pine, 13 7/8" x 5 3/8" x 1 1/4" (closed), and opening to reveal a glass plate in the bottom, brass clips on each side to hold the film and developing paper, and directions glued to the top. Designed to be used to print stereo images from the rollfilm used by Blair Stereo Hawkeye cameras, which were produced 1904-07. This interesting apparatus is in very good overall condition, except for a crack in the edge of the glass plate and one missing brass closure clip.
