There were a number of different models made over the years. Probably the wood cased ones would bring more, but they are not rare. Most models used a weight that dropped in notches in the top of the beam to set 100 milligram increments and the chain had a range of 100 mg to interpolate between them. These weights look like miniature weight lifter's dumbells with the two disks about 3/16 inch in diameter. More often than not, this weight is missing and I don't know of a source for them. I have made them, but it is more work to get one right than most people are going to pay for, probably more than the scale is worth.
